Trust & methodology

WorkedUnits converts by reducing every value to a category base unit, then expressing that base quantity in the target unit. Factors use internationally agreed SI relationships where applicable (for example, the inch is exactly 25.4 mm).

Temperature uses affine relationships (scale plus offset) so Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, and Rankine stay consistent with Kelvin as the SI thermodynamic base.

Time: month and year

• Year — Julian year = 365.25 days = 31,557,600 seconds.
• Month — average month = 365.25 ÷ 12 ≈ 30.436875 days.

These are conventional science approximations for homework. They are not calendar months or civil years (leap days, February lengths, and time zones are out of scope).

Data storage

Binary units (KiB, MiB, …) use powers of 1024. Decimal units (KB, MB, …) use powers of 1000. Both appear so labels stay honest.

Electrical

Voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, and charge convert within their own families. Ohm’s law is not applied automatically — that keeps each conversion dimensionally clear.
